Linux and Harvest Software Systems, Inc. Harvest applications are network ready and can support from one to hundreds of users. Harvest Software applications utilize Revelation Software’s OpenInsight to provide a development and database environment. Harvest applications can run in either Windows or Linux (or both) environments. There are separate versions, one for Windows and a different version for Linux. The Linux Version runs on Red Hat, Fedora, Novell, Suse, and Debian. Both platforms can support One User or Hundreds of Users. How we did it. A few years ago, Revelation Software ported OpenInsight to Linux. Because we utilize OpenInsight, we can take our 32 bit Windows Software and easily port our applications to Linux. Since the same software code is used in Linux and in Windows, it is already tested and stable. Our Linux software has the Windows graphical interface making it easy to use. We can copy in our database files directly from Windows to Linux without modification. What does this all mean?
