Harvest includes a powerful financial statement program
which is used to generate financial reports.
The report writer has the ability to summarize
financial information in a multitude of formats.
Multiple balance sheets and income statements can
be produced to provide the desired level of detail.
The trial balance can be exported for use in Excel or
Lotus Spread Sheets.
The system supports departmentalized reports.
Financial reports can be run at any time.
Financial Statements are set up from a Master Screen plus a Detail Screen.
The Master Screen is for entry of the report number, name, and type.
Report Plan Screen
Report Plan
The Report Plan Screen is for entry of the line items.
Lines can be left blank for spacing and grouping.
Line items need markings for the following:
- Line Description - whatever you want to print on the actual report line.
- Add to Totals - to indicate what total lines this line should be added to.
Line items also need to indicate
- What GL accounts to be included on this line.
The GL accounts to be included on the line are entered and visible
on the same screen. Select multiple accounts from the toolbar
or by entering a from - through range.
There is an option to get all sales and
expense accounts, helpful for the Retained Earnings
line, because there would be hundreds of accounts in that instance.
When reviewing the plan, the screen displays the accounts assigned to any
line for easy reference and editing.
On the report plan there is also a place to indicate what line
is to be used as the basis for Sales Percentages on the Income Statement.
When editing a report plan, the line items on the left are flexible.
If lines 1 through 10 have indicated they should be added to total lines
12 and 18, then you click to insert a new line for line 5, lines 1 through 11
will automatically change to add to total line 13 and 19 which would be the new
total line. The same applies to lines that are deleted. The add-to line numbers
change automatically.
A new feature is available that will show what accounts are Missing
from a Financial Statement. This can help the user make sure everything
is included that should be included. It also shows accounts that are duplicated.
After a report has been entered, it is printed from the Master screen.
Indicate the period, then preview or print the report.
The report can be previewed, printed, or exported to EXCEL, PDF, RTF, or HTML.
Financial Statements include a copy utility. This is very useful
and is used to save an existing statement to a dated name before editing it.
If an error is made during modification, the statement can be copied back.
