Customers are assigned numeric or alphanumeric customer identification codes.
Customer's can have many different ship to locations and the system assigns a
code for each of them. Ship to locations can be assigned to salespeople.
Customer Checks can be applied from the Cash Receipts Screen.
Unknown check to invoice allocations can be
posted as cash on account.
Aging reports can be printed in both detail
and summary formats for a specific period or year-to-date.
On line customer histories are available that show customer
invoices and payments from the screen.
Aging reports can be printed showing summarized or
detail amounts for all customers or a specific customer.
The system provides the tools to manage and control the accounts receivable function.
Accounts Receivable Features:
Harvest accounts receivable provides a powerful tool for
managing your company's accounts receivable function.
- Alphanumeric or Numeric customer codes.
- Payment terms can be defined on a customer basis.

individual customers.
- Territories and individual salespersons are defined by ship to location.
Territories can have multiple salespersons and customers can have different
territories and salespersons.

- Utilizes credit limits. When limit is exceeded the user is notified
and bill of ladings can be prevented from printing.

The Customer Master input fields are:
- Customer code - alpha numeric
- Customer name, address, city state zip, fax
- Multiple contact names, phones and email addresses
- Terms, terms days and due days - Zero is used if left blank
- Credit limit
- Start date
Some systems have additional fields:
- Cod status
- Credit card accepted yes/no
- Price class for systems that assign prices based on customer classification
- Salesperson
Fields displayed for view on the customer master are:
- Average days Pay calculated by Cash Receipts entry
- Current open balance
- Past due amount 1 to 30 days, 30+, 60+, 90+
- Year 1, 2 and 3 sales
- Open Balance
- Uninvoiced open Sales orders
Buttons are available on the Customer Master to see or print invoice history,
open invoices, check history, summary and detail aging for this customer.
Customers can have an unlimited number of Shipto addresses.
The list of shipto codes is shown on the customer master, and a shortcut
is provided to the shipto screen. New customer entries automatically
generate the primary shipto address using the customers address.
The Shipto Master
The Shipto Master screen shows a list of all the shipto codes
with code, city, and state for easy selection. Shipto entry fields
include the name, address, city state zip, phone, fax, contact, salesperson,
and territory. Tax rates are also included on the shipto master including
city, MTA, and State tax with check boxes for exemption, whether the exemption
is on file, and the reason. When sales orders or billings are entered,
the list of shipto codes are displayed for selection. At that point,
a temporary shipto code can be entered using code 99.
Shortcuts to the Customer Master, Shipto Master and Vendor Master are provided
on screens that call for these fields, as well as popup selection lists.
Summary Invoice Entry
Summary Invoice Entry is used to enter beginning open invoices
when starting up a new Harvest system.
Enter Cash Receipts
Checks can be entered to one or more invoices, with any balance
going to Cash on Account for application later. Credit memos are
entered on the same screen and applied to invoices in the same way.
Discount amounts granted can be varied on the screen if applicable.
If cash application is incorrect, a check can be backed out through
the Back Out Cash screen. On that screen, enter the customer number,
cash account number and check number and reversing entries are made
to the Cash Receipts Journal. Then the check can be reapplied.
Aging Reports
Detail, Summary, Detail through Period, and Period Summary reports are available.
Statements
Statements are printed for customers selected to receive statements.
Statements print on standard white paper with the user's heading printed on the top.
